I'm restless, obviously. I'm on my fourth novel in the last seven days: THE DIVE FROM CLAUSEN'S PIER by Ann Packer. So far so good. I read a young adult novel by Ann Dee Ellis this morning. It was excellent. Spare language and silences. She was my student and is now in my writing group. I didn't teach her a thing. I just said, keep doing what you're doing. And she did.
Tomorrow I will write and paint one door. I promise. I will write and paint a door. I will. I will.

Can I come? (To Holland, I mean.) (Of course, I'd come and paint a door, too.)
Yes, you can definitely come.
What door are you painting?
Holland sounds good to me. Does it get cold there? If so, let's wait a few months.
Dede, I want to paint all of the interior doors a dark taupe. I have the paint. Yes, Holland is cold this year. The canals froze. Summer on this canal would be nice.
Gert always tells me when it is nice balmy weather. That's when the deep freeze is usually done. Take me with you and if not you then I'll have Calgon take me away, in a bath.
Oh good, it sounds like you will have plenty of room for visitors, but I 'm not talking about visiting - I'm moving in! Get excited! I'll even pay half the rent (on time) and be a good roommate.
A girlie house in Breukelan sounds mighty fine. We can do each other's nails and hair.
Wow. Holland does sound perfect. Along with a stropwafel and drop. Yep, this pregnancy the craving has been drop...a true dutch girl. Although, I don't feel like I can say that, considering I've never been to Holland. Good thing I'll have a place to stay now.
I wanna go! Please take me with you. I even have the little girl that would fit right in! Well... only because her name is Holland... there's really not much dutch in her.
It looks like we'll be decorating with bunk beds.
I love that you look at real estate online. Other things I love about Louise--her laugh, her great clothes, her taste in books and pastries, her daughters-in-law. That's a start anyway.
